In the National Football League the quarterback is the only position player to be credited with a record of wins and losses as a starter. A player is credited with a win or loss if he started the game and the team won or lost that game even if the player was injured or failed to complete the game. At the end of the 2014 season, Peyton Manning had won 179 games and is the current leader. Five quarterbacks each won 12 games in 2014. Tom Brady has won the most games for one team, winning 160 for the Patriots through the 2014 season. At the start of the season, seven active quarterbacks were in the Top 50 quarterbacks of all time based on the number of victories in the regular season. In October, Tony Romo earned a place on the list by winning his 69th regular season game and replaced Jake Plummer who played from 1997 - 2006. In week seventeen, Joe Flacco replaced Jim Plunkett by winning his 72nd regular season game. The current threshold to place in the top 50 is 72 wins. At the start of the 2014 season, four quarterbacks had a winning percentage over .700. Three have done this through many games - Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick. Brian Hoyer had won 3 of 4 starts through the 2013 season. At the end of the season, only Brady and Wilson retained their high win percentage. ==2014 Season Win Loss Records== The sortable table below shows starting Quarterback wins and losses for the 2014 season.
